Q: Hello, I'm not a artist but would like to learn to draw. Where do I start? Please help

Q: How long does it take you to paint a picture?
A: Well, for me it depends on the medium I use and the size. For instance Candles Amongst the Roots only took me about four hours while other artworks took me a month or so to finish. I guess it also depends on if I'm having problems painting what I'm trying to convey to the viewer.
Q: Luv your work! Where do u think up this stuff?
A: I am inspired by many things in life that keep me interested in creating new kinds of creations. Everything from trees outside my classroom to the hill next to town. I try to keep my eyes open to let in my surroundings. I try and look at everything from different perspectives, for instance, looking at a small shrub, I will walk up to it and look for small compositions within the shrub. I for one am drawn towards complementary colors (colors on opposite sides of the color wheel like red against green).

Q: Can you make me a picture of a fairy for a tattoo?
A: Well, I'll be happy to create an image that you could use for a tattoo but I still would have FULL RIGHTS as an artist to publish and print the image. If you would like for me to make you one I would write out a contract for us to both sign and then we're done. But every time someone asks me to create something for a tattoo I never get a picture of the finished product. The only way I make a picture for someone to use as a tattoo is if I get a picture of it. So if your willing, I'm willing:) But, If you don't want to mess with getting a picture to me than I would e-mail me at McDuffie@ArtXpressions.com so I could relay you to other artist I know that might just create a drawing to give you.
